Kai Havertz names the manager who he will turn to for transfer advice amid Arsenal links

Bayer Leverkusen and Germany ace Kai Havertz has revealed he will speak to national boss Joachim Low for transfer advice, as interest in his services grows.

Arsenal are among the European giants reportedly interested in the 20-year-old attacking midfielder, along with Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Liverpool.

Having starred in a recent 2-2 draw with Argentina for his nation and scoring 20 goals across all competitions last season for Leverkusen, Havertz is widely recognised as one of the most exciting talents in world football.

Securing his services will certainly not be an easy task, particularly with the Bundesliga side holding out for a mammoth transfer fee, but Havertz' comments suggest a transfer is already being considered.

“I listen to many people but in the end it will be my decision. I will embrace any advice Low will give me because he has a lot experience – it wouldn’t be smart to not listen to him," he said at a press conference ahead of a Euro 2020 qualifier with Estonia.

However, Low stated in a separate interview that his current surroundings at Leverkusen are ideal for his development, suggesting he feels a transfer is not the right call at this time.

“I’ll talk to him on occasion, but not now and not this year. He’s supposed to be playing in Leverkusen, where he plays regularly, that’s the biggest advantage for a young player like that," he told Sport1 .

“He made a clear decision for himself and with those around him to stay in Leverkusen. I don’t know what will happen next year, but he certainly has many opportunities.

“I already trust him to have a very good career, absolutely. But he has already started.”
