Kai Havertz is the toast of Chelsea tonight.
The club's record signing delivered on his promise and went a huge way to repaying that £71million price tag with the winning goal in the Champions League final.
Chelsea lifted Europe's biggest trophy with a 1-0 win over Manchester City in the final in Porto in Portugal, courtesy of Havertz's goal towards the end of the first half.
Try as City might they could not find a way through the tactical nous of Thomas Tuchel and for the second time in the last 10 years, the Blues are the kings of Europe.
After the game, Havertz said: "I don’t know what to say, I really don’t know what to say.
"I waited a long time, I just want to thank my family, my parents, my brother, my sister, my grandmother, my girlfriend. I don’t know what to say.
"We deserved it, now we celebrate."
But after Cesar Azpilicueta interrupted the BT Sport interview with the man of the hour, to tell everyone what a special player he is and will be in the future for Chelsea, Havertz was asked about the transfer price tag and how he was now paying it back in spades.
And the young German did not hold back in his hilarious expletive-laden response.
He added: "To be honest, right now, I don’t give a f*** about that [being the most expensive player]. We won the f****** Champions League and we’re celebrating right now."
