Kai Havertz aware of Chelsea interest as Marina Granovskaia plots to raise £91.17m for deal

Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz 's representatives are reportedly aware of Chelsea' s interest.

That's according to German publication Bild, who also state that the Blues are yet to make an offer for the 21-year-old amid recent reports which stated that Leverkusen had received two offers for Havertz - one from Real Madrid and one from the west London outfit, in the region of £79.6million.

Although, Frank Lampard has addressed those rumours.

Crystal Palace v Chelsea: Frank Lampard press conference

"He's obviously a top player, but to carry on from my answer before I'm certainly not going to comment on other players at other teams," Lampard said. "And it cannot be our focus. So, nothing to say.

"No. No bids have gone in."

But the fact that Havertz's management are aware of Chelsea's interest in the attacking midfielder could bode well as it's also been suggested that plans are being made to fund a summer deal.

The Bundesliga side are said to value Havertz at £90m, which would be a significant fee especially considering the coronavirus pandemic’s impact on club’s finances

Therefore, the Express state that Marcos Alonso, Michy Batshuayi, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Kenedy, Emerson Palmieri and Danny Drinkwater could all be sold to raise funds for the 21-year-old.

If Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is able to work her transfer magic once again, then the Blues could raise £91.17m by selling the aforementioned half a dozen players.

That's down to their respective values on transfermarkt - Alonso ( £18m ), Batshuayi ( £15.75m ), Bakayoko ( £22.95m ), Kenedy ( £8.55m ) Emerson ( £21.6m ) and Drinkwater ( £4.32m ).

Furthermore, Chelsea have been given a boost in regards to signing Havertz with Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller Voller revealing that an agreement in place with Havertz that will allow him to leave the Bay Arena this summer.

"We have an agreement - if it fits, he can go this summer," Voller told German media outlet Bild. "As of now, he is a player of ours. We have our ideas, we know what he can do. I personally hope that he stays one more year.

"Of course, you can't force anyone. Havertz knows what he owes to his colleagues, the fans and the club."
