Kadapa MP flays Chandrababu Naidu for misleading people with false propaganda on irrigation projects

TIRUPATI: A day after the Telugu Desam party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu's visit to Pulivendula and other parts of YSR district, Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy flayed Naidu for misleading the people with false propaganda on irrigation projects.

Addressing a press conference at Pulivendula on Thursday, Avinash Reddy cited numerous examples to drive across a point that it was former Chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy who should be credited for setting up several irrigation projects across the state during his tenure as the Chief minister.

"Infact it was Naidu who completely sidelined the agricultural sector during his tenure as the Chief minister of the state and today he is shedding crocodile tears and trying to become the farmer's champion by resorting to all kinds of false propaganda against the present regime led by Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy", Avinash Reddy lamented.

The Kadapa MP pointed out that YS Jagan sanctioned Rs.950 crore to ensure the Gandikota project could store 27 TMC ft waters. Similarly, the Chief minister also sanctioned Rs.270 crore to ensure the Chitravathi balancing reservoir has waters stored to its full capacity of 10 TMC.

"There are numerous such examples to prove that it was former Chief minister YSR and his son and the present Chief minister YS Jagan, who have been according top priority to irrigation projects in the state", Avinash Reddy observed.

"But if Naidu thinks he can go-on with his lies and deceit to hoodwink the people of the state, his bluff will be exposed time and again, as the farmers and the people of the state are well aware about his water-front politics", the Kadapa MP noted.
