K.J. Wright moves into 5th place in Seahawks history in tackles

Weakside linebacker K.J. Wright, the longest tenured member of the Seattle Seahawks, moved into fifth place in franchise history in tackles on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Wright passed linebacker Chad Brown, who played with the Seahawks from 1997-2004 and racked up 744 tackles.

He is now behind safety Eugene Robinson, teammate Bobby Wagner, linebacker Keith Butler, and defensive tackle Joe Nash on Seattle’s all-time list.

Wright originally came to the Seahawks as a fourth round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Mississippi State. He is one of three players – along with Wagner and Russell Wilson – remaining from Seattle’s Super Bowl winning 2013 squad.

Wright started 13 or more games every season from 2012-2017, but an injury limited him to just five games last year.

He entered free agency following the season, but Seattle was quick to re-sign him to a two-year contract – allowing him an opportunity to sneak into the top-five in franchise history in tackles.
