Gardai from the K District drug unit have seized cocaine, cannabis and cash during a raid on a house in West Dublin.
A man was arrested and charged following the raid in Clonee. He appeared at the Criminal Courts of Justice and has been granted bail, gardai revealed today.
The work of gardai policing the city's K District, which includes the Finglas, Blanchardstown, Clonee and Cabra areas of the northside, has come to prominence in recent months following the hit reality TV show 'The Guards:Inside the K'.
Gardai said in a statement: "As a result of investigations into drug dealing in the Clonee area, Gardaí from the K District drug unit carried out a search at an address in the Beechfield estate area.
"Cocaine valued at €4,000, Cannabis valued at €7000 and €9000 cash was seized.
"One male was arrested and detained for questioning. He was later charged with possession of controlled drugs for sale or supply and kept in custody.
"He was brought to the CCJ courts and granted bail subject to a number of conditions."
