Juventus vs Genoa: Cristiano Ronaldo strike cancelled out by Daniel Bessa equaliser
Juventus dropped their first points of the competitive season after being frustrated in a 1-1 draw with Genoa.
Cristiano Ronaldo put the hosts ahead within twenty minutes with a tap-in after good work from Joao Cancelo.
However, the hosts were made to pay for not making the most of their other opportunities when Daniel Bessa nodded home from a yard out.

Paulo Dybala blew Juventus’ best chance for a winner 14 minutes from time, but the Old Lady still temporarily extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points.
Juventus came into the game looking for their ninth straight win in Serie A this season, and all seemed to be on track when a deflected effort from Portuguese right-back Cancelo fell kindly at the feet of his fellow countryman Ronaldo, who placed the ball past Andrei Radu from a couple of yards out.
The former Real Madrid winger was denied by the Genoa goalkeeper four minutes later after more smart movement from Cancelo and Juan Cuadrado, and it seemed a matter of when not if Juventus would add to their tally.
However, 22 minutes into the second half Genoa, who had been subdued for long period, suddenly drew level when Medhi Benatia failed to get out to meet Christian Kouame, whose cross was put on a plate for Daniel Bessa to nod past Wojciech Szczesny.
Juventus upped the tempo after the equaliser but only managed to churn out one more clear-cut chance, but substitute Paulo Dybala fired wide of the far post from Alex Sandro’s lay-off as Massimiliano Allegri's side failed to win for the first time this campaign.
Two vastly varying fortunes for the table toppers in France and Italy then.
PSG recorded their second successive 5-0 win by dispatching Amiens at the Parc des Princes, extending their lead at the summit of the Ligue 1 table momentarily to 11 points before Lille face Dijon tonight.
It was a much tougher outing for Juventus, who were held by Genoa in Turin, which saw them drop their first points of the season.
Thank you for joining us and make sure to follow us in around 45 minutes when Barcelona face Sevilla at the Camp Nou.
So a ninth straight win in the league evades Juventus after Daniel Bessa cancelled out Cristiano Ronaldo's opener.
Genoa meanwhile have avoided a sixth straight defeat at the Allianz Stadium, and that means that Max Allegri's side have dropped their first points of the season in all competitions.
Allegri's men look to have run out of steam, but it hasn't stopped the delaying tactics from the visitors, as Pandev's first involvement sees him booked for blocking the hosts from taking a free-kick.
Huge chance for the substitute Dybala. A hopeful ball in from Cancelo falls to the Argentine via Alex Sandro, but he places his shot wide of the far post.
Juventus have certainly upped the tempo after their wake-up call from Daniel Bessa, but Ronaldo's attempts to chip Pjanic's free-kick over the keeper comes to nothing.
A little over 15 minutes for Juventus to keep their 100% record.
Anyone heard of a blogger's curse? Well it might exist because Benatia fails to get out and close down the cross from Kouame and Daniel Bessa has the simplest task of heading the ball past Szczesny.
Piotek should beat his fellow countryman on this occasion though. He rises above Leonardo Bonucci from a corner but cannot divert his header on target. A huge let off for Max Allegri's men.
Wojciech Szczesny has been a relative spectator so far, but the former Arsenal keeper is forced to divert fellow Pole Krzysztof Piatek's effort at his near post behind for a corner.
You do wonder how many shots Ronaldo will have at goal before the night is over. This time the former Real Madrid man thunders his powerful drive into former Spurs midfielder Sandro following Matuidi's lay-off.
By the looks of it, more of the same. Alex Sandro whips a ball across the six-yard box and Genoa manage to usher it behind with Mandzukic and Ronaldo lurking. The resulting corner is then headed behind by Mehdi Benatia.
Just the back-to-back 5-0 victories for PSG in Ligue 1 then. The hosts were commanding and dominant for the majority of the match and they extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points, for the time being at least.
Will anyone be able to stop the flurry of goals emanating from Paris?
