Juventus 'to offer three players' for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba

Juventus are hoping to make a late attempt to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United, and are willing to offer three players to make a deal happen, reports say.

Real Madrid had been favourites to sign Pogba - if he was to leave United this summer - but The Times say United have quickly rejected their initial proposal of £27.4million plus James Rodriguez.

That has prompted Juve to try and move ahead of Real in the queue for Pogba, with Tuttosport reporting the Italian champions have sent sporting director Fabio Paratici, vice-chairman Pavel Nedved and super agent Mino Raiola to Manchester to force a deal.

The report says they will offer Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Blaise Matuidi to try and persuade United to part with Pogba, but the club have already called off talks with Dybala in a swap deal with Romelu Lukaku.

Mandzukic remains an option, while the club have been linked with Matuidi in the past. But with Lukaku's future still up in the air, United will presumably be reluctant to over-complicate the two deals with just three days of the transfer window remaining.

Meanwhile, AS  claim that United have 'almost' agreed a deal for Christian Eriksen.

The report says Eriksen is someone United have tracked closely over the summer ahead of a move, although they have not bid for him this summer. Real Madrid have also been linked as an alternative to Pogba - but the Danish international could also be a ready-made replacement for the Frenchman.
