Juventus 'to give' Miralem Pjanic to Chelsea as they eye Jorginho transfer swap

Juventus are prepared to use Miralem Pjanic as they look to lure Jorginho away from Chelsea, according to reports in Italy.

The midfielder only joined the Blues a little under two years ago but has never truly settled in west London.

His motivation behind moving to Stamford Bridge was to follow Maurizio Sarri whom he worked under at Napoli.

Juventus are thought to be considering Pjanic's departure according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Bosnian will turn 30 in April and the Bianconeri are looking to add some youth to their set-up.

There are also question marks over Pjanic's performances recently despite a hugely influential three-and-a-half years at the Allianz Stadium.

Chelsea are one of the interested parties alongside both Manchester City, Real Madrid, PSG and Barcelona.

The Blues have not made any signings for almost 18 months due to their transfer ban but could swap midfielders as they look to seal a deal that suits all parties.

He said earlier this season: "I’ve got to say, I watched him in a lot of the games in the run-in last year – I know he had a bit of a tough time – but I was really struck by his bravery on the ball. He always wanted it.

"I was excited to work with him, and from day one in pre-season, we had a possession game, it was clear his ability on the ball.

"What’s become even clearer since then, his attitude and what he does with the group, he’s driven"
