Juventus target January loan deal for Paul Pogba and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Juventus are targeting a January loan move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, according to reports.

Pogba has been incessantly linked with a return to Turin in recent transfer windows with Mino Raiola increasing speculation over his future with a statement last week claiming his time at United is 'over'.

Raiola touted a return to Italy as a possible destination for his client and urged United to allow him to leave, potentially opening the door to an exit in the winter transfer window.

Juventus remain interested in the World Cup winner but could be financially constrained. As a result, The Mirror report Andrea Pirlo is aiming to sign Pogba on loan in January with an obligation to buy next summer.

United triggered the extension clause in Pogba's contract earlier this year meaning his current deal will expire in the summer of 2022. Real Madrid are also interested in the 27-year-old.

Elsewhere, reports in Italy claim United rejected an offer from Juventus for Pogba earlier this year.

United reportedly demanded €100million for the midfielder, a fee Juventus were unable to pay due to their financial situation.

Calciomercato claim Pirlo was desperate to reunite with his former teammate and the Serie A champions offered a swap deal to United in order to tempt them into a sale.

The Italian outlet claim Juventus offered United both Miralem Pjanic and Douglas Costa in exchange for Pogba but United swiftly rejected their advances.

Pjanic eventually joined Barcelona while Costa moved back to Bayern Munich on a season-long loan.
