Danilo left FIFA red faced after they sent out an incorrect tweet praising Cristiano Ronaldo for his success across different countries.
The Juventus star celebrated his second Serie A title after thw Bianconeri beat Sampdoria 2-0 on Sunday night.
It means Ronaldo has now won league titles in Italy, Spain and England during his trophy-laden career.
FIFA thought that the 35-year-old was the only man to achieve such a feat and sent out their congrats on social media.
But Danilo quickly hit back reminded them that he too has won league titles in those three countries.
FIFA's original tweet, which has since been deleted, said: "10 goals in 10 games since the resumption of @SerieA_EN has helped @Cristiano become a multiple-time league champion in England, Spain & Italy.
"No other player has even won all 3 leagues once. The country doesn't matter when you're from another planet."
Danilo responded with a host of thinking face emojis as if to remind the federation that their comment was incorrct.
The irony is that the full-back was team-mates with Ronaldo in Spain as well as Italy.
Both players enjoyed success with Real Madrid - both domestically and in Europe as they each won multiple Champions League titles.
Ronaldo picked up a hat-trick of league titles while in England as Manchester United ruled under Sir Alex Ferguson.
His efforts earned him his then world record move to the Bernabeu in 2009.
Danilo won back-to-back league titles while on the blue half of Manchester as Pep Guardiola's side set about breaking records.
He was unable to fully establish himself at the Etihad however and moved to Juventus as part of the deal that saw Joao Cancelo head the other way.
