Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot gives update on future amid Newcastle United transfer links

Adrien Rabiot has revealed he sees his 'future at Juventus' amid transfer speculation linking the French midfielder with a move to Tyneside.

There's been plenty of speculation around potential incomings at St. James' Park in January after the completion of the Saudi led takeover made Newcastle the richest club in world football.

However, that won't mean instant success overnight and Eddie Howe has been tasked with building a squad capable of ensuring Premier League survival.

Amanda Staveley has confirmed Howe will be backed in January as the club plots Premier League survival. She tole the club's official website: “We are preparing for the January transfer window.

“It’s not a window we would ordinarily want to invest in, because you probably don’t get the right deals, but that’s something that is important at the moment.”

Earlier this week Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claimed in the week that Newcastle were a 'concrete' option for Rabiot - who has has been linked away from Turin.

However, speaking to TeleFoot, Rabiot said: “I’m happy in Turin. I see my future at Juventus, of course!”

The 26-year-old midfielder still has 18 months remaining on his contract with the Old Lady.

Corriere dello Sport also claims it would take a fee in the region of £8.5m to £12.8m to prise Rabiot away from Le Zebre, but his reluctance to leave the Serie A outfit could pose a problem for the Magpies.

The reported transfer fee is relatively small for a player who's won just about all there is to win in France and Italy and is a regular member of the French national team.
