Juventus make Paul Pogba 'decision' as Manchester United star faces summer transfer tug-of-war

Half of Europe is on lockdown, but you can dream on if you think that will stop the transfer rumour mill from turning.

The window remains set to open in just over two months as things stand, and as ever there will be eye-bleeding amounts of cash flying around at the top level.

And no player says 'big-money transfer' quite like Paul Pogba.

He rejoined Manchester United from Juventus a fee close to £100m back in 2016, but the latest from Italy suggests he could be set for yet another U-turn.

That's because Italian outlet Calcio Mercato report that Juventus have decided to make him their transfer priority.

Juve and Pogba have been persistently flirting with a reunion since the summer of 2018, as frequent reports of fall-outs between Pogba and then-manager Jose Mourinho made a departure seem imminent.

The relationship between club and player has improved since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took the reins, with the player opting against forcing through a move in January.

He is yet to appear in 2020 with an ankle injury, however, and with questions continuing to arise over the player's commitment, it seems likely he will depart this summer.

Calcio Mercato reckon United have no plans on letting him go for a 'discount' despite this, and they say that the option of a one-year extension in the player's contract complicates things further.

Juventus, however, are not expected to be put off by United's resilience even if they command a fee close to what they paid to sign him almost four years ago.

We have, of course, heard all of this before - so it's a case of wait and see with this one.
