Juventus linked to Jorginho and consider enticing Chelsea with player swap deal

Juventus and former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri are reportedly eyeing a move for Jorginho in the next transfer window.

The midfielder formerly played under Sarri at Napoli before following him to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2018.

The Italy international has been linked with a return to Serie A since last summer when Sarri took over in Turin, but stayed in the Premier League and has had a successful season under Frank Lampard.

Chelsea's player of the season so far

Jorginho's agent spoke in February about a possible move, insisting that while his priority is to stay in West London, they would consider an offer from the Serie A giants should one arrive.

And if they do decide to make a move, reports in Italy suggest they will try to sweeten a deal for Chelsea by including Miralem Pjanic as a replacement.

Italian network 7 Gold (via Sport Witness) state that Jorginho would be an "excellent signing" for Juventus and Sarri.

Meanwhile, a deal that saw Pjanic move in the opposite direction could be beneficial for all parties.

The Bosnian international joined Juve from Roma in 2016 for a fee of €32million (£29.4million), and while he has featured regularly this season, he has not quite hit previous heights.

A great start to this term saw him pick up three goals and three assists in the first nine Serie A games, but he has produced just one assist since then.
