Juventus identify Maurizio Sarri and Mauricio Pochettino as 'priorities' for top job

Juventus have reportedly identified Premier League duo Maurizio Sarri and Mauricio Pochettino as 'priorities' as they search for a successor for Max Allegri.

Allegri left the Old Lady at the end of the season after winning five straight Serie A titles - but failing to land a European crown.

Juve had been linked with an audacious move for Manchester City's treble-winning boss Pep Guardiola - but he is set to stay at the Etihad for at least one more season.

And Italian outlet Calciomercato say Sarri and Pochettino are instead their two major targets.

Chelsea boss Sarri's future at Stamford Bridge is far from certain - even if the Blues beat Arsenal to win the Europa League in Baku on Wednesday.

The Italian has come in for criticism throughout the campaign, despite leading Chelsea to a third-placed finish and guaranteeing Champions League football next term.

Fans have been unhappy with his style of play and doubts were cast over his future when goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga refused to come off in the Carabao Cup final defeat to City in a penalty shootout.

Pochettino has hinted he could depart Tottenham if they beat Liverpool in the Champions League final in Madrid a week on Saturday.

The Argentine is revered by the Spurs fans but is known to have been frustrated by the club's inability to make a single singing last summer.

Despite that, he led them to a fourth-placed finish in the Premier League to maintain their place at Europe's top table.

And Tottenham's performances in Europe have catapulted them to a spot among the continent's elite, knocking out Manchester City in Ajax in dramatic circumstances.

Victory over Liverpool will mark their first-ever European Cup as Jurgen Klopp bids for his maiden trophy as Reds boss.
