Juventus hope to land Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri on three-year deal in coming days

Juventus are hoping to finalise the arrival of Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri as their new manager in the coming days.

The Blues boss, who won the first trophy of his managerial career with last week's Europa League triumph in Baku, is the Bianconeri's No.1 choice to replace Max Allegri.

Sarri has held discussions with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia and made clear that he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge.

The 60-year-old flew to Milan on Saturday and it's understood that he will hold talks with Juventus' sporting director Fabio Paratici on Monday.

Juve, who this term won an eighth successive Serie A title, are confident of tying up a deal which would see Sarri pen a £19million, three-year contract.

Sarri has endured a rocky relationship with Chelsea supporters during his sole season in England, despite European success, a third-place Premier League finish and finishing runners-up in the League Cup.

However, he is highly thought of in Turin after his work with Napoli, and became the club's first choice after they were given the signal that Chelsea wouldn't stand in his way - and with Mauricio Pochettino expected to be too expensive to prise away from Tottenham .

But one man who could make a shock switch from North London to the Allianz Stadium is Kieran Trippier.

The England defender, 28, had been targeted by Napoli, but their interest has cooled and Juve are monitoring him as a potential replacement for Joao Cancelo if they look to cash in on the highly-rated Portuguese full-back.

Mirror Sport revealed last week that Sarri's exit could pave the way for Frank Lampard to return to Stamford Bridge as manager.
