Juventus goalkeeper Laurentiu Branescu insists Kilmarnock was ideal destination for loan move

Laurentiu Branescu admits that he was sold on a move to Kilmarnock as soon as it was on the table

The Romanian goalkeeper has joined the Rugby Park side on a season-long loan deal from Juventus, and he is delighted to link back up with Angelo Alessio who was assistant to Antonio Conte at the Old Lady.

Branescu said: "I was looking for a new experience, and when I finished my previous loan I spoke to Juventus and they looked for a solution for me.

"This situation came out [joining Kilmarnock], and I think the club suits my style of play.

"I am very happy to come here and play because Kilmarnock had a great season last year.

"Now we have Europa League games, which is very nice. I hope we can have a better year than last year.

"Every match will be like a cup final so we need to be ready."
