Juventus drop Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku hints amid Manchester United swap speculation

Juventus' vice-president has suggested the club is working on a deal to bring Romelu Lukaku to Turin.

Juve and Inter Milan are both keen on the Belgian forward, who is pushing to leave United this week.

Inter saw their derisory £54million bid for Lukaku rejected by United earlier this month and the club's CEO Beppe Marotta has since suggested they will not meet the Reds' £80million asking price for the player.

And Juve's vice-president, their former winger Pavel Nedved, has now hinted they could also make a move for Lukaku ahead of the new season.

"Having won eight consecutive Serie A titles, we feel that we have a strong team already," Nedved said. "Obviously, with the transfer market open, we're trying to reinforce the squad.

"I won't get into details and I don't want to talk about individuals, but let's say we are working on it."

Nedved added that Juventus are aware of interest from other clubs in their Argentine forward Paulo Dybala.

"There are some proposals [for Dybala]," Nedved added. "There is some interest, but we wait for concrete action so we can then decide calmly."

Sky in Italy reported over the weekend that Juve are willing to include Dybala in a swap deal for Lukaku, despite the player's intention to remain in Turin.

MEN Sport understands Juventus value Dybala, who has also been linked with a move to Tottenham, at around £80m.

The 25-year-old has scored 78 goals in 182 appearances since joining Juventus in 2015 but he struggled for form last term, netting just five times in Serie A.

Dybala did, however, score the winning goal when United and Juventus met at Old Trafford in the group stage of the Champions League.
