Juventus director Fabio Paratici has thanked Chelsea and the club's director Marina Granovskaia for their cooperation in Maurizio Sarri's move to the Italian club.
In what seemed like a long, draw out saga, negotiations between the two clubs to release the Italian from his contract at Stamford Bridge lasted a few weeks before an eventual agreement was made.
Sarri was in charge of Chelsea for just one season, where he led them to a Europa League victory and a third place Premier League finish. He did however find himself under pressure at Stamford Bridge due to inconsistent performances.
Juventus have been on the lookout for a successor to Massimiliano Allegri since the announcement of his departure last month and the Italian giants' chief has praised Chelsea for their conduct during the discussions and has described Granovskaia as 'one of the best'.
"The negotiations with Chelsea did not last over a month," Paratici insisted (via FootballItalia ). "We had clear ideas from the start, but you have to show respect for a Coach under contract and two big clubs.
"I thank Chelsea for their disposal, as Marina Granovskaia confirmed herself one of the best directors out there."
Sarri returns to Italy after just one season outside of the country, during which he won 40 of his 63 games in charge of the Blues.
