Juventus could make a stunning move for Luis Suarez before the end of the month.
Barcelona are continuing to work on a deal to re-sign Neymar from PSG, although they face a race against the clock to get the deal done.
Juventus have also been linked with the Brazilian this summer but reports in Italy suggest they remain in talks with Barcelona over a number of potential deals.
Tuttosport claims negotiations are taking place between Juve and Barca over a possible swap deal involving Ivan Rakitic and Emre Can.
But it is also suggested Juve could try and lure Suarez to Turin, if Neymar heads back to the Nou Camp.
Suarez has been at Barca for the past five seasons and remains their leading striker.
But the summer arrival of Antoine Griezmann, and potential return of Neymar, could see the Uruguayan fighting for his place.
And with Suarez turning 32 in January, it may be that Barca look to move him on this summer.
The former Liverpool man was forced off with a calf problem in the defeat to Athletic Bilbao on Friday and is set to miss the clash with Real Betis.
Juve may have to move on a number of players before they could strike a deal for Suarez.
Maurizio Sarri has previously admitted he has an inflated squad with several high-profile stars facing being left out of their Champions League plans.
Sarri is reportedly looking to move on Mario Mandzukic with Paulo Dybala now expected to stay with the club after failing to agree a move to the Premier League.
