Juventus change Weston McKennie stance as Conte given advice over Tottenham transfers

Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Sunday, November 14.

Juventus alter McKennie stance

Juventus are now reportedly less willing to sell Tottenham target Weston McKennie.

Spurs have been linked with a move for the American for some time as Antonio Conte aims to strengthen his squad following his arrival in north London earlier this month as Nuno Espirito Santo's replacement.

However, it might be difficult to convince the Old Lady to sell, with them now being more convinced of his abilities to become a key player in Turin according to Corriere dello Sport.

Berbatov eyes defensive recruits

Away from McKennie, former Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov has urged Antonio Conte to strengthen his defence in the January transfer window.

Talking to Betfair, the Bulgarian said: "Where do they need to strengthen? Based on performances and goals conceded and results, the defence should be strengthened.

"Maybe one player there and one for the middle of the park. In the attacking positions, we know the types of players he has - Harry Kane, Heung-min Son. So, he should pay attention to the defence."

De Vrij breaks silence on Tottenham links

Inter Milan defender Stefan de Vrij has revealed he has not been contacted about a move to Tottenham, whilst suggesting that links are inevitable due to the presence of Conte.

Talking to Ziggo Football Voetbal, he said:

"The connection is easy because the coach I worked with at Inter is now there, but I don't know anything.

"Conte hasn't contacted me about this. I'm focused on the national team, now this is my priority."
