Juventus boss Max Allegri has insisted he will still be in charge of the Old Lady next season.

Speculation over the Italian's future continues, ramped up further after Juve's Champions League exit at the hands of Ajax on Tuesday night.

The Bianconeri spent big last summer to land Cristiano Ronaldo in a bid to win Europe's premier club prize for the first time in 23 years.

But they Allianz Stadium was left stunned as Ajax claimed a 2-1 win in Turin to dump the Italian champions out of the competition at the quarter-final stage once again.

Allegri has led Juve to four successive league and cup doubles. Speaking after the loss at the Allianz Stadium, he confirmed his intention to remain, stating that he has already discussed the matter with club president Andrea Agnelli.

"I already talked with the president," said Allegri.

"I will remain at Juve next season and we are already planning the next campaign."

Matthijs de Ligt gives telling transfer response after Ajax win over Juventus

Juventus signed five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo this season in their bid to land European glory.

"Ronaldo gave us a lot during the season and especially in the Champions League," he said. "Ajax are a great team, I cannot say much to my players tonight.

"Ajax have several good players and play good football, they are no underdogs. How they can be after scoring five goals against Real Madrid?

"I would not say that this is our worst elimination. Juventus have always the same objective: winning everything. Sometimes you can reach the final, sometimes you can't."

Juve will win an eighth successive Serie A title - and Allegri his fifth-in-a-row - if they draw at home to Fiorentina on Saturday.
