Juventus 'already planning to sell' former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey amid difficult first season - reports

Reports in Italy claim Juventus are considering selling Wales international Aaron Ramsey after just one season.

Ramsey has struggled to nail down a spot in the Italian giants' first team after his free-transfer move from Arsenal in the summer.

The Welshman was hit by injury problems from the start and Tuttosport claim the club may now move to cash in.

Ramsey has started six Serie A matches and two Champions League games, scoring once in each competition. He has made 19 appearances in total.

Speaking recently after Juventus won 2-1 at Roma on January 12, boss Maurizio Sarri said he was "convinced" Ramsey would have a good second half of the season, adding: "To come from England and play with us is not easy.

"He had a series of physical problems at the beginning. We had to wait and now I like how he is emerging."

The report claims Juventus could see Ramsey as a "cash cow", much like they did with former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can. He joined the club on a free transfer in 2018 before being moved on to Borussia Dortmund last month in a deal that is set to be worth £20m.

Ramsey is thought to be paid around £400,000 a week in Italy.

The 29-year-old will be a key man for Wales this summer at Euro 2020 as Ryan Giggs' men look to recapture the magic of Euro 2016 when they reached the semi-finals.
