Justin Turner has a homer and two RBI doubles in Dodgers' 6-3 loss to Seattle

March 22--REPORTING FROM PHOENIX -- Highlights of the Dodgers' 6-3 loss to Seattle:

AT THE PLATE: Justin Turner launched a home run in the first inning off Mariners starter Hisashi Iwakuma. He ripped a run-scoring double in his next at-bat. His third at-bat? Another RBI double. He has hit .583 this spring.

"Iwakuma, he's tough," Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts said. "Justin really saw the ball well. He competes every at-bat, doesn't give at-bats away. Using the whole field and hitting the ball into the gap, it's nice to see him at the top of the order."

ON THE MOUND: After Kenta Maeda logged five innings, giving up two runs, the Mariners victimized reliever Luis Avilan for a pair of home runs in the sixth. Nelson Cruz hit a three-run homer and Adam Lind followed with a solo shot.

EXTRA BASES: Roberts planned to visit Milwaukee outfielder Rymer Liriano in the hospital this week after Liriano sustained facial fractures Sunday when hit in the face by a fastball thrown by Dodgers minor leaguer Matt West.

Roberts coached Liriano, a 24-year-old from Santo Domingo, when they were both in San Diego. Liriano debuted for the Padres in 2014.

"It's scary, it's unfortunate," Roberts said. "You feel for the player, his family."
