Justin Tucker offers to pop bottles with Patrick Queen if he stays home

It’s going to be an unusual NFL season this year. With the coronavirus pandemic already forcing the league, teams, and players to make dramatic changes to how they do everything from hold meetings to attend training camp, it’s bound to elicit some strong responses. One such response came from Baltimore Ravens rookie linebacker Patrick Queen, who scoffed at a report that players would be restricted from some activities in their free time.

According to a report from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the NFL and NFLPA have agreed to prohibit players from attending indoor events, including going to night clubs. That drew Queen’s ire, who retweeted the report.

Quick to offer a solution to the problem, Ravens kicker Justin Tucker came in with the clutch save. Tucker offered to open his wallet if Queen can stay out of night clubs until mid-February, presumably after Super Bowl LV.

While kickers have earned the reputation for being the quiet and more boring players in the league, Tucker breaks the norm. In fact, Tucker hitting the club and popping bottles is such a funny, on-brand thing for him that you can’t help but picture it in your head. Tucker is the opera-singing, fried chicken and coffee-selling, showboating kicker and there’s little doubt he’ll be the life of the party at whatever club they go to.

Queen fired back quickly taking Tucker up on the offer, even if he’s more of a homebody normally.

Hopefully, Tucker, Queen, and the rest of the team have more to celebrate in February, making the occasion just a little sweeter.
