Justin Tucker becomes fastest kicker to reach 1,000 total points

If there was any doubt as to whether Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker is something special, he reminded everyone once again in Week 6. Against the Cincinnati Bengals, Tucker went 3-for-3 on field goals and hit on both extra points. In doing that, Tucker became the fastest kicker to 1,000 points, setting the mark at 118 career games.

Tucker celebrated by thanking holder Sam Koch, long snapper Morgan Cox and special teams coach Randy Brown.

Tucker is already the most accurate kicker in NFL history, hitting on 90.58% of his career field goals. Though some have dinged his achievement given his relatively short career when compared to some of the league’s best-known kickers, the points milestone should quiet any critics. Tucker is 13-of-13 on field goals this season and will have plenty more chances with 10 games remaining this season.
