Wales have made just one change to their starting XV to face Ireland in the Autumn Nations Cup on Friday, with flanker Justin Tipuric returning from tonsillitis.

Wales travel to Dublin for the new tournament in a state of flux. They have lost five games on the bounce under new coach Wayne Pivac, finished fifth in the Six Nations and have parted company with defence coach Byron Hayward.

Nevertheless, Pivac is able to name an extremely experienced XV, with captain Alun Wyn Jones set to become the first Test player to reach 150 caps when he starts in the second row in Dublin.

Tipuric was a late withdrawal from the side that lost to Scotland 11 days ago due to illness, but returns in place of James Davies, who drops out of the matchday 23.

Ross Moriarty and Josh Navidi are still not fit to compete for places in the back-row.

There are some significant selections on the bench, where Bristol’s Callum Sheedy is poised to make his debut, and George North is recalled after being dropped for the clash with Scotland.

North will win his 100th Test cap (three of which are for the British and Irish Lions), if he comes on at the Aviva Stadium.

The Autumn Nations Cup will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from November 13.
