Justin Thomas took a playful jab at Tiger Woods after winning The Players Championship

Justin Thomas put on a show over the weekend at TPC Sawgrass, a show that ended with him coming from behind to win The Players Championship for the first time in his career.

After a slow start on Thursday and Friday, Thomas played the last 36 holes at 12 under to pick up his 14th win on the PGA Tour. He’s now just the fourth player since 1960 to have 14 wins before his 28th birthday, joining Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller and Tiger Woods.

Speaking of Tiger, Thomas is really good friends with the GOAT and he was asked about him following his round. Thomas had a lot of good things to say about his buddy, who is still recovering in a Los Angeles hospital.

He also took a playful jab at Tiger, saying: “Part of me wishes he was here so I could rub it in his face a little bit more.”

Here’s that part of the interview:

JT and Tiger are very good friends and I’m sure Tiger enjoyed the fun little jab.

Good stuff.
