Justin Pugh returns to practice, status still unknown for game

The Arizona Cardinals got a starter back at practice on Tuesday. Left guard Justin Pugh returned to the practice field, but his status is not known yet for the team’s third preseason game this Saturday on the road against the Minnesota Vikings.

Before practice began, head coach Kliff Kingsbury addressed the media and was asked about Pugh’s status.

“I’m not sure yet on Pugh,” he said. “We’re going to get him out there today and tomorrow and see how he moves around and how he feels.”

During the open part of practice, reporters saw Pugh practicing.

There is no injury report for the preseason, but surely if there were, Pugh would have been listed as limited.

If Pugh is unable to play this weekend, Mason Cole would once again start for him at left guard. It would also mean that Pugh would likely miss the entire preseason, as starters traditionally do not play in the preseason finale.

Kingsbury will not speak to the media again until Thursday so there will be no update about Pugh’s status until then.
