Justin Herbert appeared to wish for a Chargers and Raiders tie on the sidelines right after late timeout

We almost got the result of a lifetime, and if it wasn’t for a late Brandon Staley timeout that changed the course of the Week 18 finale between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders, we may have gotten a tie that would have sent both teams to the postseason.

But the timeout with 38 seconds left from the Chargers coach changed the game plan, per Raiders QB Derek Carr, and Vegas went on to win it 35-32 and punch a ticket to the postseason.

It was right before that timeout that NBC cameras caught Herbert saying something on the sidelines … and it appeared to be him wishing for a tie to happen. Let’s break it down:
