Justin Gaethje rips Conor McGregor: ‘You are a (expletive) human, father, and husband’

Justin Gaethje apparently is not fond of the way Conor McGregor conducts himself.

After Khabib Nurmagomedov’s third-round submission of Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 on Saturday, McGregor (21-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC) called out his Dagestani rival on Twitter. The first Irish UFC champion called for a second crack at Nurmagomedov, but this time for the fight to take place in Moscow.

Gaethje (20-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) didn’t take lightly to McGregor’s callout and ripped the former champion in a responding tweet. Gaethje took aim at the way he thinks McGregor, whom he labeled a “tool,” carries himself outside the cage.

As he fielded many tweets that defended McGregor, Gaethje doubled down on his claims. Gaethje wrote he despises “what (McGregor) represents” and the people “who defend the person he is.”

Gaethje, a 30-year-old lightweight, went on to call McGregor a “(expletive) human” and wrote his distaste for the UFC’s first simultaneous dual champion had nothing to do with fighting abilities.

In fact, Gaethje was complimentary of McGregor’s skills and wrote the Irishman’s “distance management is second to none and his timing is impeccable and he hits like a truck.”

In an interview ESPN in August, McGregor claimed to have in July been booked to fight Gaethje at Madison Square Garden at UFC 244 in November. However, a series of legal issues interfered with his participation in the bout.
