Some of the new members of the Ohio State football team got some jersey numbers today. At least according to the bios updated on Ohio State’s website. As a graduate transfer from Georgia, Justin Fields is included in that list and will apparently keep the same number he had as a Bulldog — the No. 1 jersey.
Last year, wide-receiver Johnnie Dixon who has graduated had numero uno, so it was available. What better person to wear it than the Fields, who will most likely get every opportunity to show the skill set that made him one of the most recruited quarterbacks to ever come out of high school when he committed to Athens.
The job will most likely be his to lose in the fall, and now QB1 has the jersey to fit.
