Justin Fields says he considered transferring back to UGA from OSU

Perhaps no one has been setting the college football world on fire more so than Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields so far this season. The former Georgia quarterback has led the Buckeyes to an undefeated record thus far and has many believing his team is the best in all of college football.

However, there was a time when Fields, who transferred from Georgia this past winter, considered rejoining his old squad in Athens due to being homesick. He had previously lived in Georgia his whole life.

“(My father) just told me to stay in it, to pray about it and just trust in God,” said Fields. “It was crazy because the next day I met a few friends, and I felt comfortable from there,” Fields told the Columbus Dispatch.

It looks as though that decision has paid off for Fields, as he has many pundits projecting him as a Heisman candidate at the end of the season.
