David Beckham inspired plenty of young people during his career – and it wasn’t just his footballing abilities that got people idolising him.
The former Manchester United star will of course be best remembered for his time at Old Trafford, as well as spells at Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, and not forgetting some of his heroics with England.
But Beckham of course made a name for himself away from the pitch too, with his celebrity status seeing him reach a level of stardom previously unseen in football.
That of course led to films being named after him, songs being made in his honour, and he became the face of countless products all over the world.
And people everywhere could be seen mimicking his various styles throughout the years, from his mohawk to his infamous cornrows, and of course his tattoos – and he hasn’t stopped inspiring trends to this day.
His son Romeo took to Instagram this week to show off his new tattoo, with the ink clearly taking inspiration from his father’s own artwork.
And the 19-year-old isn’t the only one to sport the tattoo, with Justin Bieber also revealing Beckham inspired him to get his own version.
The pop superstar gave his approval as he replied to Romeo’s image, commenting: "Love it, it was ur dad that inspired mine too. Looks great.”
The apple certainly doesn’t fall far from the tree for the Beckhams, with Romeo boasting a series of tattoos in keeping with his father’s collection.
He also looks to be following in David’s footsteps as he makes his first steps into professional football, having joined Inter Miami – the club owned by his dad – and made his debut for their reserve affiliate team Fort Lauderdale last year.
