Justin Bieber 'poised for music comeback' after quitting tour over health fears

Justin Bieber is tipped to make a return to the music world - months after he cancelled a world tour in order to take time out for the sake of his health.

The 28-year-old Canadian pop star had been due to spend the vast amount of 2022 and the early part of 2023 on the road as part of his Justice World Tour.

However, he cancelled all his dates after a September 4 2022 performance in Rio de Janeiro and with all the dates up to 25 March this year called off.

He revealed he was taking time out of the spotlight to focus on his own health - however, fans may hear the star back on the airwaves soon as he is expected to drop a new track with Skrillex.

According to The Sun, Justin has been in the studio with fellow musician Skrillex, real named 35-year-old Sonny Moore, who he made the smash song Where Are You Now with back in 2015, alongside Diplo and the music outfit Jack Ü.

A source told the publication: “Justin may have been out of the spotlight but he’s constantly been in the studio.

“He has been friends with Skrillex for years so it just made sense to mess about and see what they came up with.”

While Skrillex released his second album, titled Quest For Fire, just yesterday, he is expected to release his third album, tipped to be titled Don't Get Too Close, imminently too - with a song with Justin featuring on the record.

While Justin himself is said to be hard at work on his seventh album - and even turned down the chance to perform at Coachella in order to focus on the music.

TMZ reported last month: “Bieber was asked, but he turned it down in order to focus on his album.

“However, we're told there's a good chance he does it in 2024!”

Last year Justin left fans concerned when he quit his world tour abruptly.

He explained in a statement at the time: “Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralysed.

"As the result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North America leg of the Justice Tour. After resting and consulting with my doctors, family and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six live shows but it took a real toll on me."

He continued: "This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil. After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now.

"So I'm going to take a break from touring for the time being. I'm going to be okay but I need time to rest and get better. I've been so proud to bring this show and our message of Justice to the world."

And a subsequent statement revealed he was axing the rest of his tour.

His team revealed: “All remaining dates of his world tour postponed to next year up to and including March 25. Potential new dates will be subject to venue and date availability.”
