Notts County got back to winning ways with a 2-0 triumph over Yeovil Town at the weekend.
The Magpies were in need of a victory after suffering two straight defeats to Woking and Halifax Town.
Head coach Ian Burchnall admitted he felt "relieved" after the Yeovil game following the "disappointing results".
Burchnall also lifted the lid on a team bonding exercise he believed helped his side come away with all three points.
"It was quite important," he told NottinghamshireLive. "I didn't mind having an away game [on Saturday], because having spent extra time together as a team, the trip down, the quiz, a nice night and bring the boys together a little bit and bring back a bit of harmony that we had earlier in the season was really important."
As well as a quiz, the Notts players and staff also indulged in a spot of karaoke.
"There were a couple of songs. [Anthony] Patterson and Cieran [Brennan] had their songs, they weren't too bad actually," Burchnall added.
"Cieran not too impressed with the Justin Bieber number but he was very good, he did an older song. We had a little quiz night, it was football round, capital cities and general knowledge - the staff came on top.
"I do think sometimes you need to be together as a team, have a laugh and remember what it's all about - we're part of the same group, working towards the same thing.
"I think we just really focussed on ourselves and it's a much better mood but it's not time to get carried away, there's a long way of football and plenty of work to do."
