Justin Bieber has been struck by facial paralysis from Ramsay Hunt syndrome

Justin Bieber has announced to his fans that he has been struck by facial paralysis due to Ramsay Hunt syndrome, sharing the diagnosis in a shocking video.

The singer, 28, opened up about the condition on his Instagram account, following news he had postponed tour dates due to a health issue.

Sharing an "important" video, Justin told his followers that he's suffering from facial paralysis, which has left him unable to move one side of his face.

He told fans: "I wanted to update you guys on what's been going on. Obviously, as you can probably see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome."

In the video, Bieber attempts to smile, blink, and move his face but one side remained still as he continued to speak.

"It's from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis. As you can see, this eye is not blinking," he continued.

Justin shared that it has affected one side of his face, saying: "I can't smile on this side of my face, this nostril will not move, so there is full paralysis in this side of my face."

He then addressed fans who had been "frustrated" about the postponing of some upcoming performances, with him saying that his body is telling him to "slow down."
