Justin Bieber deletes scathing caption about Hailey after backlash over 'mean' Vogue comment

Justin Bieber has removed a bizarre social media caption in which he admitted to accusing his wife, Hailey, of being “disrespectful” and called for “more intimacy” in their marriage.

The 31-year-old singer faced backlash from followers after he shared a painful moment from a past argument, where he claimed to have told Hailey she would never appear on Vogue’s cover.

While his post was meant to be lighthearted, many fans were not amused, flooding the comments with criticism.

In the original post, Justin recounted the heated exchange.

“Yo, this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight, I told hails that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes, I know, so mean. For some reason, because I felt so disrespected, I thought I gotta get even,” he wrote.

He went on to reflect on the lesson learned, adding: “I think as we mature, we realize that we're not helping anything by getting even; we're honestly just prolonging what we really want, which is intimacy and connection.”

The singer then directly addressed Hailey, writing: “So baby, u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn't get a Vogue cover cuz clearly I was sadly mistaken” (sic).

However, the post drew widespread criticism, with many fans viewing it as a backhanded compliment and unnecessary public sharing.

One follower commented: “It's okay to have secrets, Justin.”

Another wrote: “You couldn’t waterboard this information out of me lmao.”

Others urged him to reconsider sharing such personal details, with one user commenting: “Why would you write something like that... put that phone down please.”

The post also sparked confusion when Justin mistakenly wrote “sadly mistaken” rather than “happily mistaken,” a slip many saw as an awkward way to celebrate his wife’s achievement.

Despite the controversy surrounding the post, in a recent interview with Vogue, Justin expressed his admiration for Hailey, emailing a note to the journalist where he wrote: “I've done a lot of dumb things in my life, but the smartest thing I've ever done was marry Hailey.”

In the interview, Justin also opened up about his life with Hailey, stating: “I’m walking in the days I always dreamed of,” and revealed that they both want to have more children.

Hailey, who plans to take “a kid at a time,” also shared that their marriage has become even stronger since the arrival of their child.

“It’s been my biggest teacher so far,” she said, reflecting on how becoming parents changed their relationship.
