Justin Bieber has announced his engagement to model Hailey Baldwinafter reports emerged that he proposed while the couple were in the Bahamas.
Posting on his official Instagram page, the 24-year-old Canadian pop star shared a photo of him with his 21-year-old fiancee.
"Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am sooooo in love with everything about you!" he wrote. "So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY [sic]."
"I promise to lead our family with honour and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make. My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn't want to spend it with anybody else."
"You make me so much better and we compliment eachother so well!!" he continued. "Can't wait for the best season of life yet!.
"It's funny because now with you everything seems to make sense! The thing I am most excited for is that my little brother and sister get to see another healthy stable marriage and look for the same!!!
"Gods timing really is literally perfect, we got engaged on the seventh day of the seventh month, the number seven is the number of spiritual perfection, it's true GOOGLE IT! Isn't that nuts?
He added: "By the way I didn't plan that, anyways My goodness does feel good to have our future secured! WERE GONNA BE BETTER AT 70 BABY HERE WE GO!"
Baldwin tweeted soon after Bieber's post, writing: "Not sure what I did in life to deserve such happiness but I am so utterly grateful to God for giving me such an incredible person to share my life with1 No words could ever express my gratitude."
Initial reports of the couple's engagement emerged over the weekend, after witnesses said Bieber had proposed in a restaurant, where his security asked everyone to put their phones away so they could enjoy some privacy.
Baldwin was spotted the next day with a large diamond ring on her engagement finger. She has appeared in a number of modelling campaigns, music videos and TV shows, plus shoots for American Vogue, Marie Claire and Spanish Harper's Bazaar.
The couple were introduced by Baldwin's father, the actor Stephen Baldwin, at the New York premiere of Bieber's film Never Say Never in 2011, when she was 14 and he was 17. They dated for a short while in 2016, before Bieber reunited with his former girlfriend - singer and actress Selena Gomez - later splitting with her and getting back together with Baldwin.
