Justin Bieber bizarrely challenges Tom Cruise to UFC fight - and Conor McGregor offers to host

Justin Bieber has had his fair share of Twitter attention, and now the singer has taken to the platform to drive up more of a stir with a challenge to fight Tom Cruise in the UFC octagon.

Although there's been no reports of bad blood between the pair, Bieber , 25, even addressed the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president, Dana White, to secure the fight in his bizarre tweet on Sunday night.

Posted to his 106m followers, it read: "I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you don't take this fight you're scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite ?"

The tweet quickly escalated on the social media platform, with former lightweight champion Conor McGregor offering up to host the fight. He wrote: "If Tom is man enough to accept this challenge, McGregor Sports and Entertainment will host the bout. Does Cruise have the sprouts to fight, like he does in the movies? Stay tuned to find out!"

Not only did McGregor offer to host, but the multi-million pound pop star's antics led the featherweight to take up his own challenge with a fight against actor Mark Walhberg.

Standing at 1.75m, Bieber doesn't seem fazed to challenge the 56-year-old Mission: Impossible star, who is renowned for performing all his own stunts.

UFC aside, others replied to the singer with pleas for new music.

One said: "I wanna challenge Justin Bieber to release his 5th studio album."

If Cruise doesn't take up on Beiber's offer, then he'll next be seen carrying out action-packed stunts in the latest Top Gun: Maverick, which is set to release next year.
