Justin Bieber has a new album coming out next month.
The album, titled Justice, will be unveiled on 19 March. It will be Bieber’s sixth studio album in 11 years.
Bieber shared the announcement on Friday on social media, along with the cover art.
“In a time when there’s so much wrong with this broken planet we all crave healing and justice for humanity. In creating this album my goal is to make music that will provide comfort, to make songs that people can relate to and connect to so they feel less alone,” he wrote.
“Suffering, injustice and pain can leave people feeling helpless. Music is a great way of reminding each other that we aren’t alone. Music can be a way to relate to one another and connect with one another.”
Bieber stated he knows he “cannot simply solve injustice by making music”, adding: “but I do know that if we all do our part by using our gifts to serve this planet and each other that we are that much closer to being united.”
“This is me doing a small part,” he wrote. “My part. I want to continue the conversation of what justice looks like so we can continue to heal.”
Justice is now available for pre-order. It will include the song “Holy”, a featuring with Chance the Rapper released in September last year, as well as “Lonely”, a collaboration with Benny Blanco, and “Anyone”, a single released by Bieber on 1 January 2021.
The new album follows up on Bieber’s most recent release, Changes, unveiled in February 2020.
Changes was a chart-topping success and is now nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2021 Grammys, scheduled for 14 March. Bieber is also up for Best Pop Solo Performance for the song “Yummy”, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Intentions” featuring Quavo, and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “10,000 Hours”, a duo with Dan + Shay.
