Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin looked loved-up in a new Instagram photo, after the couple were forced to hit back at cruel trolls who criticised their marriage.
The 22-year-old model shared a sun-soaked image of her and her husband posing on a yacht, with a stars and stripes flag in the background, captioning it simply: “The Biebers.”
Baldwin looked laidback in a loose white jumpsuit, while the musician was dressed for the warm weather in sunglasses and a straw hat.
Their show of solidarity comes after both stars were moved to speak out against the hurtful trolling they have received about their relationship.
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Baldwin appeared to brand Bieber’s fans as “dumb” for “wanting” to see their marriage break down.
“I don’t know if it’s because they want to be able to say, ‘I told you so’ or because they want to be right, I don’t really know what the idea is behind trying to tear somebody’s relationship down, or person down, whatever it may be,” she told the magazine.
“The problem too is kids become possessive over people,” she added.
Shortly after, Bieber directly took one Instagram user to task for insulting his wife and claiming that he was using her “to get back at [ex-girlfriend] Selena Gomez.”
“Ur [sic] immature the fact that you have an account dedicated to dissing my wife and I is absolutely absurd,” he responded in an extended comment.
“Anyone who believes this is mean spirited or 10 years old or younger because a logical person doesn’t think or talk this way u should be ashamed of yourself really.
“I absolutely loved and love Selena she will always hold a place in my heart, but I am head over heals [sic] in love with my wife and she is absolutely the BEST THING that has ever happened to me period.”
Last week, Bieber told fans that he would be putting plans for new music on hold while he addresses some “deep rooted issues,” so that he can “sustain [his] marriage and be the father [he] wants to be.”
