Justin Baldoni 'wants to tell his story' after Blake Lively settlement

Justin Baldoni 'wants to tell his story', according to his friend

Justin Baldoni "really wants to tell his story" after his legal battle with Blake Lively.

The 42-year-old star and 38-year-old actress had been locked in a high-profile dispute since December 2024 following their work on 2024 drama It Ends With Us, and they recently reached an out-of-court settlement agreement.

Adam Mondschein, who played a doctor in the film, appeared on Piers Morgan's Uncensored show and said: "I have very firm feelings about the actions that she took and she hurt my friend and has been hurting my friend.

"I think he really wants to tell his story, and he deserves to be heard. To let sunlight in on this, has been the thing that I feel her camp has been avoiding."

Blake accused Justin - who starred in and directed It Ends With Us, their 2024 drama movie - of sexual harassment and co-ordinating a smear campaign against her.

Justin - who played Blake's on-screen love interest in the movie - and his Wayfarer Studios production company subsequently countersued the actress and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, accusing the Hollywood couple of defamation and extortion.

Adam added: "I can't imagine what it must be like to be inside of her mind."

He claimed he has spoken to friend Justin since the settlement was announced, describing the star as "relieved" the case is over but "frustrated" not to get his day in court.

Meanwhile, Justin’s lawyer Bryan Freeman has welcomed the news.

Speaking to Extra, he said: "You know, I wouldn’t say which side kind of came to the table first.

"I think there was an urgency to try and get it done as quickly as possible. I think that Justin and the other individuals felt pretty comfortable where they were at the time…

"Ten of the 13 claims were gone as a result of the summary judgment motion. Five individuals were out of the case.

"You were left with a case that was really Blake Lively versus It Ends with Us, the movie LLC, the agency group and Wayfarer Studios, so it was a very different case at the point in time that we had those settlement discussions than ever was before."

Meanwhile, Freeman insisted he couldn't "talk about the terms of the settlement", but insisted his client is "ecstatic".

Blake and Justin issued a joint statement through their representatives earlier this week confirming they had reached an undisclosed settlement.

The statement read: "The end product — the movie It Ends With Us — is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life.

"Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors — and all survivors — is a goal that we stand behind. We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognise concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard.

"We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online."
