Justin Baldoni has denied claims made by It Ends With Us actress Isabela Ferrer this week, who alleged that Baldoni and his production team acted “inappropriately” during his ongoing legal battle with Blake Lively.
Ferrer, 24, played a younger version of Lively’s character Lily Bloom in the Colleen Hoover adaptation. In court documents obtained by E! News, she accused Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios colleagues of acting “inappropriately” after she received a subpoena from Lively’s legal team as part of their ongoing dispute.
Ferrer reportedly reached out to Wayfarer Studios to have her legal fees covered, as per her contract. However, according to Ferrer’s lawyers, Wayfarer Studios asked her to “relinquish control of her response to the Lively subpoena to Wayfarer” before she’d receive the funds.
In documents obtained by Page Six, Baldoni’s legal team claimed that they issued Ferrer a different subpoena, which required her to obtain “documents that she either neglected to produce or were not requested” by Lively’s team. They also claim that they reached out to Ferrer on two occasions but were reportedly “ignored”.

Baldoni’s lawyers assert that they couldn’t possibly be accused of harassing the actor because she was issued a summons by Lively’s team first. They also asked Judge Lewis J. Liman to approve serving Ferrer “via alternative means”.
“Ms. Lively should not be permitted to obtain discovery from Ms. Ferrer, while Ms. Ferrer and her counsel frustrate all effort by the Wayfarer Parties to obtain the discovery critical to the preparation of their defence,” the docs reportedly read.
“Given the circumstances, the Wayfarer Parties are willing to stipulate that none of the parties will use any communication to, from or concerning Ms. Ferrer, or any testimony from her, in any manner in this action.”

Ferrer’s legal filing — in which her legal team claimed Baldoni tried to “manipulate, threaten, control and otherwise act inappropriately — came after Baldoni’s lawyers filed a motion stating that she had been unresponsive regarding his subpoena.
To this, they responded with a claim that Baldoni and his team had engaged in “bad faith tactics” and only used the legal motion “for improper purposes and with the aim of harassing” her.

Baldoni and Lively’s incredibly messy legal battle kicked off when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexually harassing her on the It Ends With Us set. Baldoni denied these claims and filed a $400 million USD lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and publicist Leslie Sloane.
The $400 million lawsuit was later dismissed by Judge Liman in June. However, Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni is scheduled to go to trial in March 2026.
