"Justifying and celebrating Charlie's murder": Candace Owens’ Charlie Kirk series draws sharp criticism as Michael Knowles rejects debate role

Michael Knowles has drawn a sharp line around the growing public debate over Charlie Kirk’s murder, rejecting the idea of moderating a proposed clash between Candace Owens and Andrew Wilson. In comments shared online, Knowles argued that the case should be handled through the legal system rather than turned into another high-profile media spectacle. His remarks also took aim at the wave of content that has emerged around Kirk’s death.

Michael Knowles rejects debate over Charlie Kirk murder

Knowles’ position centers on what he sees as a serious problem with turning a murder investigation into an endless public argument. Rather than becoming the referee for a debate between Owens and Wilson, he said he believes the evidence already points toward Tyler Robinson as the person responsible.

"The evidence is pretty clear Tyler Robinson murdered Charlie Kirk."

The statement comes as the circumstances surrounding Kirk’s death continue to generate intense discussion across conservative media and social platforms. For Knowles, however, the most important question is not who can build the most convincing case on a podcast or livestream. He believes criminal responsibility should ultimately be established through the proper legal process.
