Just So You Know Amazon release date confirmed as streaming services first UK Tik Tok original series

Just So You Know is the name of Amazon Prime’s first ever UK series in collaboration with the social media platform, Tik Tok.

The six-part series looks at modern love from the perspectives of six LGBTQ+ Tik Tok creators and is available to watch exclusively on the Prime Video UK Tik Tok account.

Just So You Know is directed by filmmaker and drag artis, Joseph Wilson who is known for his work on identity and self-acceptance.

Sharing his excitement about the project, Wilson said: “I’m passionate about celebrating marginalised communities and bringing our narratives to mainstream audiences. That’s why the opportunity to create a series highlighting what love means to the LGBTQ+ community was so special.”

What is Just So You Know about?

Inspired by Amazon Prime’s Modern Love programme, Just So You Know follows six LGBTQ+ Tik Tok creators as each of them recite remarkable love letters to the loves of their lives.

The Tik Tok creators wrote the letters themselves and they were then adapted by award-winning writer and performer Keith Jarrett; they cover everything from maternal love to the love of performance in six short confessional videos.

Emerging dancehall artist Daniel Molyneux composed the soundtrack for each episode and they’re available as Tik Tok Sounds so that the wider Tik Tok community can use them in their videos.

When is the Just So You Know release date?

Just So You Know is available to watch from Thursday, July 26th.

The series has been released on the Amazon Prime UK Tik Tok. account exclusively. Tik Tok users can watch it online or through the app and no Amazon Prime subscription is necessary.

The Just So You Know cast features Tyreece Nye (@tyreeceinheels), DJ Krystal Lake (@djkrystallake), dancer and choreographer Tarek Khwiss (@tarekkhwiss), Bailey Mills (@baileyjayemills), drill artist Mista Strange (@mistastrange1) and TikTok star Elliot Douglas (@theevolutionofelliot).

Their stories range from an ode to drag by Bailey to a story of fated romance by Tarek and a celebration of the self by Elliot.
