While Leeds United are some way from returning to European football's top table, the Whites were well represented in Madrid.
Former Thorp Arch product Danny Rose played all 90 minutes for Spurs, but lifting the trophy last night was former Leeds favourite James Milner , who added yet winner's medal to his collection.
As well as winning all three major domestic trophies since leaving Elland Road in 2004, the 33-year-old has now won the biggest prize in club football and plenty of Leeds fans were quick to praise him on social media.
And their message was clear - now he has won just about every major prize in the game, it's time for him to come home.
Whites fans have made their desire to see Milner return to Leeds no secret in recent years, but they may have to show a bit more patience ,with the Telegraph this week reporting that he will be retained by Liverpool until at least 2021.
