Just Giving page set up to support the Scottish Crannog Centre following devastating fire

A new fund has opened to help support the Scottish Crannog Centre following the fire of June 11.

Three weeks on from the loghouse burning down tourists are returning to tour the unaffected parts of the Iron Age history centre.

Crannog director Mike Benson was delighted over £50,000 has been raised for the Loch Tay museum by Largo Leisure and also close to £15,000 generated through the Crannog’s own website ‘donate’ button.

But the museum thought it wise to have a dedicated fund of its own on the justgiving.com platform.

Mike said: “All at the Crannog Centre have been humbled by the love and support we have received following the devastating fire on June 11.

“This will not be the end of our story but become in time part of our story.

“We have launched our Just Giving page as we set out to secure the Crannog Centre’s future.”
