Anupamaa actor Gaurav Khanna's current track in the show is in the news. His character Anuj Kapadia from being Mr Perfect is now lashing out and showing his frustrations like never before.
In a recent chat with Gaurav, while talking about his character Anuj Kapadia, we also spoke about what he is like in real life. Gaurav, who is married to actress Akansha Chamola for the past seven years, said, “I am like any other normal human being. Just because I look calm, it does not mean that I don’t lose my cool sometimes. If I am playing a game with my wife or friend, and if I lose, I will lose my cool because I am competitive. So also, there are disagreements in every household and I react to any situation like a regular person would. And I think that’s very normal.”
Talking about his character Anuj and his behaviour with his wife Anupama, Gaurav said, “People have to understand that Anupamaa is a slice-of-life show. And though Anuj loves his wife a lot, one has to understand that people react differently in different situations. He is broken and emotionally in a bad state right now. Can’t a mature, understanding, calm man have an emotional outburst?”
The current track revolves around how Anuj (Gaurav Khanna) loses his daughter Anu to her real mom. Anuj is broken and in the process blames his wife Anupama (Rupali Ganguly for it. He also leaves the home and his brother and bhabhi are planning to take over his business. Anupama also leaves the house looking for him.
