Here’s wonderful short film from the Royal Institution, in which I think Jim Al-Khalili is channelling the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’s calmer and more rational upgrade.
I have a nagging doubt... if theory is the highest praise, where does that leave the “Standard Model” for particle physics. It should really be called the “Standard Theory”.
That’s my opinion, anyway.
